Finals Set For IMPACT Title Number One Contender’s Tournament
The finals for the IMPACT Title Number One Contender’s tournament are set.
On Tuesday’s IMPACT, Ace Austin and Trey picked up victories in the semi-finals of the tournament to set up the finals. The finals between the two men will take place on next Tuesday’s IMPACT.
In the first match of the night, Austin defeated Hernandez with The Fold. Austin wasn’t originally scheduled to be in the tournament, but entered as a late replacement for Ken Shamrock. He defeated Rhino in the first round before knowing off Hernandez in the semi-finals to advance.

In the main event, Trey upset Michael Elgin when Elgin was distracted by a signal from Sami Callihan. Trey took advantage of the distraction, hitting a jackknife roll-up to pin Elgin. Trey defeated Rohit Raju in the first round.

Trey and Austin have a longstanding rivalry with Austin defeating Trey at IMPACT Hard To Kill in an X-Division Title match. The feud between the two men heated up when Austin made advances towards Trey’s mom.
The winner of the tournament will face Tessa Blanchard for the IMPACT World Title.
