Finals Of 2022 Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Determined On 2/8 NXT 2.0
The finals of the 2022 Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic are set!
On February 8, the semi-finals of the Dusty Cup took place, with defending champions MSK facing Edris Enofe and Malik Blade in one matchup, and The Creed Brothers taking on Grizzled Young Veterans in the other.
In the opening match of the night, Julius and Brutus Creed defeated James Drake and Zack Gibson. The Diamond Mine trainees have been feuding with Imperium and are one step closer to the title match they’ve been pursuing. Grizzled Young Veterans fail to make the finals of the tournament for the first time since 2019.
In the other semi-final match, the cinderella run of Edris Enofe and Malik Blade came to an end at the hands of MSK. The former Tag Champions weathered a strong fight which included a fall that many in attendance believed was a 3 count. They eventually were able to regroup and book their spot in the finals for the second straight year.
