Final Two Entrants Announced For 2022 PWG Battle Of Los Angeles

“Phillip Five Skulls” and Buddy Matthews are coming to BOLA.

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla announced that Phillip Five Skulls and Buddy Matthews will be part of Battle of Los Angeles. Phillip Five Skulls is the fifteenth entrant while Buddy Matthews is the sixteenth and final entrant in the tournament which takes place on January 29 and 30.

There are no active wrestlers actually named Phillip Five Skulls, as it is a reference to a tweet from a fan back in August.

Matthews was released by WWE in June of 2021 after eight years with the company. He has since wrestled a handful of matches, including one against Kazuchika Okada at NJPW Battle in the Valley.

Battle of Los Angeles is the premier independent wrestling tournament with past victors including Kenny Omega, El Generico (Sami Zayn), Adam Cole, Ricochet, and Bandido, an entrant in this year’s tournament, among others.

Fightful will have results from BOLA following the conclusion of each event.
