Final Spot Filled On WWE SmackDown Men’s Survivor Series Team

The final spot on the SmackDown Survivor Series team has been filled.

On last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Sami Zayn lost his spot on the Men’s Survivor Series team when he was defeated by Jeff Hardy. With the PPV just two days away, a match was announced for tonight to fill the vacancy. A fatal four-way would see Ricochet, Sheamus, Cesaro, and Jinder Mahal battle for the right to represent their brand at Survivor Series.

The match saw each man come close to winning, but it was Sheamus who eventually emerged victoriously after Ridge Holland came out and distracted Cesaro long enough for Sheamus to hit him with a Brogue Kick. Holland was the one who announced Sheamus’ return last week when he told Cesaro that he and Sheamus would be a better team than The Bar ever was.

This was Sheamus’ first match on SmackDown since being drafted to the blue brand in last month’s WWE Draft. He competed on WWE’s recent European Tour but hadn’t had a televised match since a September 27 United States Title Match loss to Damian Priest.

The full card for Survivor Series can be seen here. Fightful will have coverage of the event this Sunday, November 21, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
