Fightful Joshi Weekly Wrap 7/12/22
Scott Edwards wraps up the week in Joshi featuring TJPW’s Summer Sun Princess, STARDOM’s MidSummer Champions, and Sendai Girls’ SENJO Chronicle.
The latest weekend of action was the biggest of the year for the world of Joshi.
STARDOM and TJPW held their own major pay-per-view events on Saturday and Sendai Girls had one of their own on Sunday. TJPW’s Summer Sun Princess was filled with notable matches top to bottom featuring the TJPW roster, Joshi legend Aja Kong, Pro Wrestling EVE star Alex Windsor, and AEW stars Hikaru Shida, Riho, and reigning AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa.
STARDOM’s MidSummer Champions may not have been as packed top to bottom but massive news coming out of the show along with two great championship matches to close the show. And finally, SENJO Chronicle showcased how special Sendai Girls can be with Chihiro Hashimoto vs. ASUKA stealing the show (and maybe the weekend) in the main event.
Add in the third edition of STARDOM’s NEW BLOOD series and other Joshi promotions running their own shows and you realize how crazy of a weekend Joshi had.
