Fight Size Update: WWE Edits Out Footage Of The ‘Greatest Royal Rumble’ Trophy Being Broken, Hulk Hogan With The Young Bucks, More

Here's your Fight Size wrestling Update for the evening of May 19th, 2018.

– "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman stood tall in the 50-man 'Greatest Royal Rumble' match in Saudi Arabia last month. As a result of winning the match Strowman received a psychical championship belt and a massive trophy that stood the same height as he did. This past Monday on RAW when the make-shift duo of Finn Balor & Strowman teamed up to take on Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, Strowman set his sights on McIntyre as he charged at him and trucked him over. The force of Strowman sent McIntyre flying into the 'Greatest Royal Rumble' trophy and it broke in half. The video that was uploaded onto WWE's YouTube channel was edited so that the trophy is not seen being broken but you can see Strowman running over Drew.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that the company edited the footage because it would be considered disrespectful to those who made the trophy.

Meltzer: “Evidently this was a serious offense because they went out of their way to edit it off subsequent airings and YouTube footage that could reach Saudi Arabia.”
