NXT TakeOver: New Orleans Fight Size Update
Here’s a Fight Size wrestling Update all about last night’s NXT TakeOver: New Orleans event.
– During the tapings for the next episode of NXT TV, Raymond Rowe & Hanson made their debut for the brand and they interrupted a tag team bout between Tino Sabbatelli/Riddick Moss and Heavy Machinery. The duo made their debut under the name “War Raiders” which is what they will now be known as in the WWE.
– Kairi Sane defeated Lacey Evans prior to TakeOver: New Orleans and that match will air on NXT TV this upcoming Wednesday.
– During the NXT North American Championship Ladder match in which Adam Cole was victorious in, The Velveteen Dream was busted open and had to be stitched up before he re-entered the match.
– Prior to her debut tonight at WrestleMania 34 Ronda Rousey was live in attendance and was able to see her good friend Shayna Baszler capture the NXT Women’s Championship.
– The former NXT Champion Drew McIntyre was a part of the NXT TakeOver: New Orleans pre-show and he stated that he was nearing a return to in-ring action.
– Although EC3 fell short in his quest to prove that he is the “Top 1%” he let the first-ever NXT North American Champion Adam Cole know that he’ll regret cutting him off during his “EC3 BayBay” chant.
– In a shocking turn of events, Roderick Strong turned his back on his partner in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Pete Dunne, and joined forces with The Undisputed Era. Dunne went on to share a photo on Twitter of some real friends that he can trust.
– After Johnny Gargano defeated Tommaso Ciampa which earned him his job back in NXT, he stood at the top of the entrance ramp with his wife Candice LeRae. Gargano jokingly turned around to watch his back and see if anyone was coming to hit him with a crutch from behind.
