Fight Size Update: John Cena Wants An Answer From The Undertaker, WWE Teasing Rusev Facing A Celebrity At WrestleMania, Mandy Rose, More
Here's your Fight Size wrestling Update for the morning of March 21st, 2018.
– For weeks on end now, former 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena has been on the hunt for an answer to his challenge to the Undertaker for WrestleMania. Cena has verbally attacked "The Deadman", referring to WWE's phenom as a coward among other insults. The only response that Cena has received came in the form of Undertaker's brother Kane. Kane made his first appearance on WWE TV since being taken out by Braun Strowman on the post-'Royal Rumble' edition of RAW. "Big Match John" continued his quest to get an answer from The Undertaker as he uploaded a photo onto Instagram of "The Deadman" from early on in his wrestling career.
– The news that shook the wrestling world today has garnered a massive reaction from all involved in the sport. Daniel Bryan being cleared to return to in-ring action has even brought the ever-so-witty Kevin Owens from his antics on Twitter to properly congratulate Bryan.
– WWE color commentator Corey Graves had some words for former WWE color commentator Taz. Graves noted over Twitter that Taz's "insecurities are a bad color". The former two-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion was confused by the mentioning of his name by Corey Graves, as shown below.
– All three members of the RAW faction 'Absolution' have now been guests on Lilian Garcia's 'Chasing Glory' podcast. To check those interviews out, click here.
– Partners in the Mixed Match Challenge tournament Goldust & Mandy Rose recently had a photo shoot with WWE. To view that, head over to WWE's YouTube channel.
– Following the 'Ultimate Deletion' match on Monday Night RAW, WWE legend Hulk Hogan felt "deleted" himself after he tuned in to the match.
– According to PWInsider, WWE cameramen tagged along with Elias over the weekend to film a future WWE Network project. There were no further updates on what exactly the filming took place for.
– Names like Macaulay Culkin and "Pitch Perfect" actor Skylar Astin have stepped up to the plate to challenge former WWE United States Champion Rusev at WrestleMania. Due to other celebrities also wanting a piece of 'Rusev Day', WWE issued the following teasing that a celebrity could be stepping in the ring with Rusev on the "Grandest Stage Of Them All".
Rusev demands a celebrity opponent at WrestleMania
"It’s a Rusev Day tragedy, as The Bulgarian Brute is currently without an opponent for this year’s WrestleMania in New Orleans.
Since SmackDown LIVE has not provided him with a foe for The Show of Shows, the former United States Champion sought out competition somewhere else entirely: Hollywood.
The Rock was one of the first to respond to the tweet, suggesting that his”Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” co-star would be an adequate opponent. Meanwhile, “Arrow” star and SummerSlam 2015 competitor Stephen Amell noted that he wants absolutely nothing to do with the hulking Rusev, despite what his followers were saying.
However. Kevin McCallister himself, “Home Alone” star Macaulay Culkin seems more than up for the challenge, although we’re not sure swinging paint cans, plummeting irons or tarantulas are exactly what Rusev has in mind for WrestleMania.
The Bulgarian Brute made it clear that he has no interest in doing what the Wet Bandits couldn’t do by destroying Culkin.
“Pitch Perfect” actor Skylar Astin also let his voice be heard, and even attempted to recruit a few tag team partners.
Rusev, however, was quick to silence this challenge as well.
Will Rusev face a worthy opponent at WrestleMania which, strangely enough, falls on Rusev Day this year?"
