Fight Size Update: Chris Jericho’s Promo After Winning The IWGP Intercontinental Title, ‘Golden Elite’ Shirts, Kurt Angle-Daniel Bryan, More
Here’s your Fight Size wrestling Update for the evening of June 10th, 2018.
– At NJPW’s ‘Dominion’ event Chris Jericho defeated Testuya Naito to become the new IWGP Intercontinental Champion. Chris Jericho has now held the Intercontinental Title ten times (WWE-9 times/NJPW-1 time) and he is now officially the only individual in the history of the sport to hold both the WWE and IWGP Intercontinental Championships. Following his victory Jericho expressed that he will treat the title as if it was a child of his own because that’s how much it means to him to be champion.
– The current GM of Monday Night RAW Kurt Angle recently shared a photo onto his personal Instagram page of him locking Daniel Bryan in an “Angle Lock” during the ‘Greatest Royal Rumble’ match. Kurt noted in the caption, “How about a 1 on 1 match up?”
– Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks shared on Twitter that the ‘Golden Elite’ t-shirts are the highest selling shirts within a 24 hour time period on Pro Wrestling Tees. Following Kenny Omega’s IWGP Heavyweight Title win he announced that along with The Young Bucks and Kota Ibushi, the four men were going to be starting a faction named the ‘Golden Elite’.
– WWE uploaded a video onto their YouTube channel of Paul Heyman attempting to recruit former World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio to the re-branded ECW in 2006.
– WWE Hall Of Famer Bully Ray shared a funny tidbit on Twitter today noting that his girlfriend, former 2-time TNA Women’s Knockouts Champion Velvet Sky is quite the shifty individual in her sleep.
Velvet Sky responded to Bully Ray letting him know that he’s the one who sends out the painful maneuvers.
– Fight Club:PRO announced that WWE U.K. Championship tournament competitor Jordan Devlin will be competing in singles action at their ‘International Tekkers’ show against Naoki Tanizaki on June 29th.
– The superstars of NXT met with fans at the ‘Download Festival’ and WWE.com uploaded photos of those in attendance meeting their favorite NXT talents.
– There are a plethora of interviews on the ‘Red Carpet Report’ YouTube Channel as the host Denise Salcedo spoke with a number of WWE stars and legends at the company’s ‘For Your Consideration’ event.
