Fenix Released From Hospital With A Muscle Contusion After Suffering Injury At AAW’s ‘Lucha City Limits’ Show

An update on Fenix after his frightening situation.

Friday night was an eventful night for the Lucha Brothers as they were featured in the main event of this week’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling and defeated LAX to become the new IMPACT World Tag Team Champions. On the same night while IMPACT was airing, Pentagon Jr. and Fenix were in present in Austin, Texas for AAW’s ‘Lucha City Limits’ show and they bested AR Fox and Myron Reed for the AAW Tag Team Championships.

Rey Fenix was hurt at the ending of the match when he executed a cutter and did not get back up. The match immediately was cut short and paramedics were called and stretchered Fenix out.

The AAW Twitter account posted the following update on Fenix and noted that he had been taken to a local medical facility and they will keep the public updated on how he is doing going forward. Co-owner of AAW, Danny Daniels provided an update on the situation and shared that he was at the hospital with Fenix and Fenix is doing well but needs to take it easy for the time being.


**UPDATE**

The official AAW Twitter page has provided yet another update on Fenix and added that the current IMPACT World Tag Team Champion has been released from the hospital and left with a muscle contusion and will be back to 100% after he takes some time to rest.


Fenix and Pentagon Jr. have had a busy February and on top of capturing and losing titles, they put the Young Bucks on notice at the All Elite Wrestling ticket announcement party when they laid waste to the AEW co-Executive Vice Presidents.
