WWE Confirms Fightful Report Of Triple H Pectoral Injury; Surgery Planned
Some unfortunate news coming out of ‘Crown Jewel’.
WWE’s ‘Crown Jewel’ event streamed live on the WWE Network from 11 AM EST until late into the 3 PM hour. The main event of the show saw NXT founder and senior producer Triple H bring WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels out of retirement after being inactive for eight years to do battle with The Undertaker and Kane.
With the combined age in this match nearly totaling two-hundred, the four men took the fight to one another and put on a show for fans in attendance and those watching from their respective spaces. Unfortunately, Triple H sustained an injury during the match. While HHH was running towards the ropes to do his signature spot where he tumbles out of the ring, something went wrong and from that point forward he was seen holding the right side of his chest and arm. As it became evident that there was something wrong with Triple H, he was put through a table by Kane and following that it could be seen that HHH was being checked on by Dr. Chris Amann on the outside.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp has been told by sources that while the details are currently unknown, Triple H is battling a pec injury and the word backstage is that the injury occurred towards the end of the match.
UPDATE
WWE has confirmed that Triple H has suffered what appears to be a torn pectoral and that he will be traveling back to the United States this week to undergo surgery.
