Exclusive: TNA Talent Not At Tapings, Reason Why
TNA has seen many familiar faces jump to their brand throughout 2016, but this week's tapings had one familiar face absent.
Shane Helms, who has performed as both an on-screen talent and agent, wasn't at the most recent tapings. Fightful.com has learned that the former "Hurricane" requested and was granted time off to participate in a tour with Armed Force Entertainment. The tour kicked off in Kuwait, and has traveled to Baghdad. Helms, in addition to former TNA and WWE talents Mr. Kennedy, Sgt. Chris Melendez, Melina Perez, Scotty Too Hotty, and comedian Johnny LoQuasto are all on the tour.
Helms has been working as an agent with TNA Wrestling since last year, and has also moved to an on-screen character. First showing up at last year's Bound For Glory pay-per-view, Helms managed Trevor Lee to an X-Division Championship before adopting another North Carolinian in Andrew Everett to the "Helms Dynasty."
