EXCLUSIVE: Shane Helms Hopes Impact Wrestling’s And The Hardys’ Problems Get “Squashed”

Shane Helms said he is stuck in the middle with Impact Wrestling and The Hardys

Last week, Reby Hardy unleashed a twitter tirade on Impact Wrestling regarding the ownership of "Broken" Matt Hardy. On the Fightful Wrestling podcast, Shane Helms, who works for Impact Wrestling on-screen and backstage, talked about being in a situation where his co-workers and employers are fighting with his close friends The Hardys.

"I think (Reby Hardy's) tweets are funny. I'm laughing at this shit, there's still a big kid in me, even when my buddies are fighting I got to watch and laugh. I like Impact company, they never done anything wrong to me but Matt and Jeff are two of my closest friends in life and me and Reby are tight too," said Helms. "It's one of those thing, I'm kind of in the middle, catching that shrapnel heat, but I'm going to laugh at shit like that. It's going to entertain me. I don't know exactly what's going on, the legalities of things but I hope it kind of gets squashed and goes away," continued Helms.

He also would tell Fightful Wrestling podcast host Sean Ross Sapp, he thinks Impact has nothing to gain from disputing the ownership of "Broken" Matt Hardy and they should let The Hardy Family move on with their creation.

"I'm not sure what it's doing for us as a company to be doing that, I don't know what the end game is or what the end goal is. I think Matt and Jeff worked their ass off. I know for a fact they worked their ass off at Impact," said Helms.

Helms would use the last episode of Total Non-Stop Deletion as an example when a lot of the Impact roster including Matt and Jeff Hardy worked hard and went out of their way to make the event a success. He said The Hardys worked the hardest. On the rest of the podcast, Helms discussed the prior week's episode of Impact Wrestling which was the first under the Anthem banner.

The Fightful Wrestling podcast with Shane Helms airs on Fridays, it's available immediately with membership which is completely free.
