Exclusive: Sami Callihan Says Rich Swann Is Probably The Most Talented Human Being He’s Ever Met

Sami Callihan praises Rich Swann.

The on-going feud between the leader of oVe Sami Callihan and the current IMPACT X Division Champion Rich Swann began when Sami offered Swann a spot in oVe to which Swann denied. Sami then began to reveal information about he and Swann’s storied history. It is well documented that Swann unfortunately lost both of his parents at a young age and one of the individuals along Swann’s journey that was there for him was Sami Callihan. The two recently had an X Division Title match at IMPACT Wrestling’s ‘Rebellion’ pay-per-view that Swann emerged victorious from but their feud is far from over.

Sami Callihan was the focus of today’s IMPACT Wrestling Press Pass media call and I had the opportunity to talk to Sami and asked him about he and Swann’s chemistry and what has it been like for him to be able to tell the story that he and Swann have told on IMPACT TV.

“The reason that it’s so successful is because that’s real life chemistry. Everything said in those interviews, everything in those angles were 100 percent truth and real. I took Rich Swann under my wing when he was 16, 17 years old, pretty much damn near homeless. His mother passed away, his father passed away. He had nobody, and I helped take him in back when he was younger and I helped get him to the point where he is.” Sami said. “I’m not taking full credit for him because Rich Swann — I will go on record to say every single time I do an interview, he’s probably the most talented human being I’ve ever met in my life as far as being in-ring and out of the ring, but he’s [been] for years and years and years and years until recently, one of my best friends if not my best friend. He’s a talented human being and being able to do the angle with him on television was amazing.”

IMPACT Wrestling has the full media call up on their YouTube channel and on tomorrow night’s edition of IMPACT, Killer Kross will take on Eddie Edwards, there will be a Knockouts Battle Royal and more action on the night.
