Exclusive: Bea Priestley Talks Life In Stardom, Her Future With AEW
Say what you want about Bea Priestley — she’s making headlines. She’ll look to continue that WrestleMania weekend for Stardom, and beyond that for All Elite Wrestling.
The 23-year old Priestley burst onto the scene a few years ago, and quickly made her presence felt in Stardom. With the brand coming stateside in early April, she’ll have the opportunity to do that in the United States for the first time.
“This will be my first time wrestling in USA,” Priestley told Fightful in an exclusive interview. “I’ve had the opportunity to wrestle in America before, however I always wanted it to be a special debut, so Stardom is the perfect place to do it.”
With Priestley making her name more and more in Japan, that’s where her attention has been focused. She told Fightful that she spends most of her time overseas from the U.K. territory she’d called home, and compared the training methods.
“My training is solely in Japan now as I’m only in the U.K. for short periods of time. I love the bond I have with the Stardom roster and the intensity of the training. I think the U.K. has many great schools but I prefer the style and system that Japan has,” said Priestley.
Priestley recently signed with upstart promotion All Elite Wrestling, where she was featured on their “Road to Double or Nothing” series. As far as how she’ll divide her time? Priestley says that news will come in due time.
“It was great being acknowledged on Road to Double or Nothing. I’m so excited to see the plans for AEW unfold! I have a big surprise that I will be announcing soon that will answer any questions about (how I will divide my time),” Priestley told us.
You can see Stardom stateside April 5 in Queens, New York at the NYC arena at 4:00 PM EST. General admission tickets are still available and will be sold at the door. If you can’t make it, the event will also be streamed live on Fite.
You can also check Stardom out at Stardom World, and hear Fightful’s coverage of the brand bi-weekly on The Division Podcast with Kristen Ashly.
