EVOLVE Star, Fightful Pro Has Injury Scare

Jason Kincaid, who is one of the pro contributors here at Fightful.com, suffered an injury Saturday at the WWN Supershow that will keep him out of action for a few weeks,

Kincaid suffered the injury during the opening match of the WWN event, held Saturday night in Orlando as one of several events taking place in and around Orlando during WrestleMania weekend. The match also involved Keith Lee, one of The Gatekeepers and Austin Theory.

Late Saturday night, Kincaid posted a picture of himself strapped to a backboard on his Facebook page.

"They may have rolled me in here, but no worries, I'm gonna walk outta this bitch," Kincaid wrote in the post accompanying the picture.

In the wee hours of Sunday morning, Kincaid was released, and posted another update on Sunday that he had been diagnosed with spinal stenosis that would keep him out of in-ring competition "for a few weeks", forcing Kincaid to withdraw from three scheduled bookings at independent events in the coming weeks.

"Many apologies to the AAW, MCW, & PCW staff and fans for my impending absence from advertised matches. Good news is: ever since I saw Andy Kaufman rock one in "I'm From Hollywood", as a kid, I always kinda wanted to rock a neck brace," Kincaid wrote.

You can read that post here.

Kincaid made his debut as a columnist at Fightful.com in December and has chronicled, among other things, his tryout for Ring Of Honor, competing in the ROH Top Prospect tournament last year, and his road to signing with EVOLVE. Most recently, he has been counting down his list of his top 10 favorite wrestlers.

Everyone at Fightful.com wishes Kincaid a speedy and complete recovery!
