EVIL Has Been Removed From NJPW’s Anniversary Show Due To Injury

EVIL, unfortunately will not be casting his darkness over NJPW's anniversary show.

One-half of the current IWGP Tag-Team Champions, EVIL, has been removed from NJPW's 46th anniversary show next month. EVIL and Sanada were supposed to be going up against Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi in a non-title bout, but due to the announcement that EVIL has suffered a left orbital bone fracture, the "King Of Darkness" will miss the event on March 6th.

 

Instead, Sanada will be going one-on-one against Yoshi-Hashi. The injury to EVIL occurred during  NJPW's 'Down Under' tour in Australia this past weekend.

 

Here's the updated lineup for the anniversary show, with the announcement of EVIL's injury:

* IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada vs. IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay – Non-title match

* Intercontinental Champion Minoru Suzuki vs. Togi Makabe

* Tetsuya Naito vs. Taichi

* Sanada vs. Yoshi-Hashi

* IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Sho & Yoh vs.Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru & El Desperado- Triple Threat For The Titles 

* Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano vs. Juice Robinson & David Finlay

* Katsuya Kitamura vs. Manabu Nakanishi 

* Jushin Thunder Liger, Tiger Mask IV, KUSHIDA, Ryusuke Taguchi & Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Yuji Nagata, Toa Henare, Tomoyuki Oka, Shota Umino & Tetsuhiro Yagi
