Ethan Page: Fans Don’t Need To Know What Our Relationships Are Like Backstage, Watch The Damn Show
Ethan Page is getting candid about the recent backstage turmoil in All Elite Wrestling.
Since the beginning of September, All Elite Wrestling has seemingly been chock-full of backstage drama, fights, and turmoil. As recently as October 5, the problems were still front and center in the company as Fightful Select reported that Andrade El Idolo and Sammy Guevara were involved in a physical altercation backstage.
In a new interview with Sunday Night’s Main Event, AEW star Ethan Page discussed how everybody in the standard men’s locker room wants to see each other succeed, but when it comes to people who have special locker rooms, he just frankly doesn’t care.
“Yeah, of course. You’re looking at a roster filled with people that spent years kind of starving together. So, there’s that pocket of the locker room that has a certain bond and comradery that will never go away. But like, as far as the whole company… I don’t know. The only thing I know is what happens in the room that has male talent across it. Anyone else that has a name on their door… I don’t go in there, I don’t know what happens in there, I don’t know what their relationships are with the other wrestlers on the roster, nor do I care. If you don’t change with me, I don’t care.”
When interviewer mentioned shying away from specifics of AEW’s backstage problems, Page gave his feelings on the matter in a very blunt reply.
“I have a question, who cares? Who cares? Literally, who cares? Who’s keeping score? You don’t need to know what our relationships are like behind the scenes, watch the damn show. We don’t need to like each other.”
Page currently resides in MJF’s faction-on-retainer, ‘The Firm’. Since joining the group in September, Page has been featured more on both AEW Dynamite and AEW Rampage.
Page’s last match came on September 16 episode of Rampage, where he defeated Danhausen in a singles bout.
