Eric Bischoff Says He Hasn’t Had Conversations With Anyone About Working For All Elite Wrestling
On the latest After 83 Weeks with Christy Olson Eric Bischoff answers whether he’ll be involved in All Elite Wrestling, and warns The Young Bucks, “Don’t let it go to your head.” The former president of WCW also answered to allegations that he raided the ECW roster, and names the WWE Superstar he thinks is the next Stone Cold Steve Austin. See the full podcast at this link or above.
Eric responds to allegations he stole talent from ECW:
Everybody that came to WCW from ECW was trying not just a little bit, but desperately to come to WCW. Terry Taylor and Kevin Sullivan in particular were far more familiar with the talent out of that market. They’re the ones that brought that talent in. But I can assure you, because I was the one doing the deals, there was not one person that came from ECW to WCW that did so reluctantly or with any degree of hesitation, because they were all dying to get paid. I’m not knocking Paul [Heyman] for this, he was a small business, he’s an entrepreneur, it takes a long time. Cash flow is always a challenge with any new business. Wrestling is no different. The guys were not getting paid, and they were coming to WCW because we needed talent and they knew they’d get a check.
Eric reveals if he’ll be involved in All Elite Wrestling:
Hopefully I’ll get an invitation to come and watch a show. But no, I haven’t had a conversation with the Bucks or anyone associated with them. So I put that on a very, very low probability meter.
