Enzo Amore Was Told He’d Be Fired If He Spoke During The Miz’s Promo On WWE RAW In 2017
Enzo said there was not much he could do during that segment.
Enzo Amore spent his entire professional wrestling career in the WWE with the majority of that time being in the NXT brand. Throughout his time in WWE, Enzo captured the Cruiserweight Championship twice and was a part of the highly regarded tag team with Big Cass. Both Enzo and Cass were released from the sports-entertainment company in 2018 and they have reunited outside the walls of WWE and Enzo has made it clear that he and Big Cass will be making appearances in the future but it will be on their terms.
Enzo talked about his run in WWE when he joined the ‘Keepin It 100 With Konnan’ podcast and mentioned a moment from his time as a singles competitor in 2017 during the September 11th edition of RAW. Enzo stood across the ring from The Miz, Maryse, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel as The Miz cut a promo about Enzo having heat backstage and being put off the tour bus. Enzo stated that he was told he’d be fired if he responded to The Miz’s promo and here’s his direct quote from the podcast.
“They put me in the ring with The Miz who aired me out on all the dirt sheet articles that had been coming out about me, and they just had The Miz bury me and I was told I couldn’t say a f*cking word back, or I’d be fired so, if I said something, I would’ve gotten fired.” Enzo revealed.
During this podcast appearance, Enzo also shared that his 205 Live run was the highlight of his WWE career and to check out Fightful’s published article about that quote, click here.
