Emily Jaye Talks ROH Debut, Says She Learned So Much From Leyla Hirsch & Rachael Ellering
Emily Jaye recalls making her debut for Ring Of Honor.
On January 6, Emily Jaye made her debut for the promotion, teaming with Brittany Jade against the duo of Leyla Hirsch & Rachael Ellering. The match, which aired on the January 11 episode of ROH TV, was a big mark for Jaye in her career, as it was her first time wrestling for a major promotion.
While speaking to MuscleManMalcolm for a new interview, Jaye talked about making her debut for the promotion and noted that she was happy that she got to tag with Brittany Jade.
“I was so nervous, I had stayed the night with Brittany the night before because I knew if I would’ve driven down there the day of, I would have been a nervous wreck. So she was there to calm me down thankfully, but come to find out, I ended up having a match and I got to team with Brittany. She knew that if I had a singles, I was literally going to have a full on panic attack. Like yes, it’s a normal match, but for me I was like, if I have a singles match right now I’m not going to be okay. Thankfully I had Britany with me, but I got put into a singles position, I would have made it work. That’s what wrestling is about, it’s about adjusting and going with the flow and I couldn’t be more thankful to have Brittany with me in the ring during that, even though I was not the nicest in the ring. Still love you Rachel and Layla, you are great, I learned so much from them. It was absolutely amazing and I am excited for everyone else to see if you haven’t checked it out.”
