Ember Moon: “My Ultimate Dream Match Of All Time Would Be Versus Beth Phoenix”
Ember Moon might be calling her shot for ‘Evolution’.
The “War Goddess” Ember Moon has been on a tear over the past number of weeks on Monday Night RAW as she has built herself a winning streak in singles matches. Moon made her main roster debut the night after WrestleMania 34 and two months after that she was competing in the Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder match and is now looking forward to the first-ever all-women’s PPV for WWE entitled ‘Evolution’ on October 28th.
As of right now Moon is prepping for the live event loop and before things get kick-started for the former NXT Women’s Champion she spoke with ‘The Post And Courier’ and while naming off stars on the WWE roster who she has not had the opportunity to work with one-on-one, she shared her dream match and the person who Ember wants to stand across the ring from is a former three-time WWE Women’s Champion and a WWE Hall Of Famer.
“And there are so many people I have yet had the opportunity to work with,” she said. “I’d love to have a match with Charlotte, Sasha, Bayley — the women who were at the forefront of the women’s revolution. I’d love to have another match with Asuka. I’d love to have a match with Natalya. But my ultimate dream match of all time would be versus Beth Phoenix. She has been such an inspiration for people who are different and were told that they would never be here. She kept that dream alive for me.”
It has been documented that Ember Moon was trained by WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T in the Texas area. Ember went on to speak about what Booker T has taught her and praised him for helping her incorporate some of the weapons she currently has in her arsenal.
“It was amazing. When I got to Booker T, I had already gone through training. Booker brought something new to the table. Booker was someone that was currently still involved with WWE at that time. It was something that I felt I needed to give me an extra step, and it did.” She said. “Booker taught me a lot of the high-flying aspect that you see now: the springboard cross-body, the Eclipse off the top rope. That was all Booker. I also learned to present myself in a way that was camera-ready. He likes to tell everyone that I had all the tools, but that’s not true. You can only get certain knowledge from people that have been through what you’re trying to do. I’m still learning every day,” she added. “I wish I could have stepped through the door with all the knowledge in the world, which I tried to do, and I had a vast amount of knowledge. But every day that I show up, I’m still learning. I’m still learning something new because the awesome thing about sports-entertainment is that it always changes, it always evolves, and either you’re going to evolve with it, or you’re going to get left in the dust.”
