Elias Signs Three-Year Contract Extension With WWE

The WWE Universe will Walk With Elias for the foreseeable future.

Elias has signed a new multi-year deal with WWE according to Ryan Satin on WWE Backstage. Full terms of the deal were not disclosed. Elias reportedly signed the deal after returning from injury.

From WWE:

Elias has agreed to a multi-year contract extension with WWE, as first reported on WWE Backstage.

WWE’s resident songbird, Elias has multiple 24/7 Title reigns to his credit, as well as victories over the likes of John Cena and Finn Bálor. He recently declared his entry in the 2020 Men’s Royal Rumble Match, pointedly calling out WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.

Elias took to Instagram to comment on his new contract, revealing that his deal is a three-year extension.

Elias suffered an ankle injury during King of The Ring 2019, which kept him out of action and off television until Nov. 29. He returned on SmackDown, making fun of Drake Maverick and turning face in the process. Elias signed a developmental deal in 2014 and worked in NXT as Elias Samson. He was moved to the main roster in April 2017.

During his time on the main roster, he has won the WWE 24/7 Championship four times and was named 2018 Breakout Superstar of the Year. He has also released the EP WWE: Walk With Elias in 2018.

Elias is just the latest superstar to be re-signed in recent months. The New Day, Street Profits, Miz, and Paige have all signed contract extensions since November.
