Edge Wins The 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble Match

Edge has earned a title opportunity at WrestleMania.

Entering the Royal Rumble 1st, Edge outlasted 29 other superstars to win the Royal Rumble match for the second time in his career. He previously accomplished the feat in 2010. He is the first person to win the contest from that placement since Chris Benoit in 2004. Edge won the match, last eliminating Randy Orton, who entered second but didn’t return until the very end after an “injury” took him away from the action.

Edge has now earned the right to choose whether he will challenge the WWE Championship, currently held by Drew McIntyre, the WWE Universal Championship, currently held by Roman Reigns, or the NXT Championship, currently held by Finn Balor.

One of the surprise entrants in the match was Edge’s old tag team partner, Christian. He competed inside a WWE ring for the first time since 2014 when he entered at number 24.
