Edge And Christian Talk Paige–“Nothing’s Truly Private”–Have Praise For Matt and Jeff Hardy
Edge and Christian are no strangers to the WWE Universe and after years of success in the ring, they now have success with their own show The Edge and Christian Show That Totally Reeks of Awesomeness on WWE Network and have now added on a podcast as well. Their new podcast titled E&C's Pod of Awesomeness is sure to be another hit. While promoting their podcast, the two did an interview with Forbes and talked about popular news items going on currently in the wrestling world.
One of the biggest news items to grace us lately was Paige's photo leak and Edge had his own thoughts on the situation.
"With technology now, you've just got to be so careful. Nothing's truly private…but that's the world we live in. That's the way it is now. Sadly there's a lot of deprived people who think this is-I don't know- maybe a hobby. But, it just sucks."
With WrestleMania 33 coming up very quickly, lots of fans have to wonder if Matt and Jeff Hardy will be joining the WWE anytime soon. With a possible contract on the table, we have to wonder, will something happen for the event or sometime after?
Edge and Christian were longtime rivals with The Hardy Boyz during the Attitude Era and with the Broken Hardy's success over the last year, we have to wonder, IF the Hardy's come to WWE will the Broken gimmick come with it? Can it work in the WWE? Christian gives props to the Hardy's for reinventing themselves.
"You could probably be The Hardy Boyz, stick your two fingers up, make that ride from town to town and hope that people follow along with that nostalgia. Instead, they've taken the bull by the horns and reinvented themselves and stayed current, stayed fresh and keep people talking and that's what it's all about."
Edge adds that "wrestling is all about reinvention and if you don't reinvent yourself, you're going to get stagnant and people are going to get bored. I think back to when I came back from my neck surgery and I came back as the babyface that I was when I left. I went in to my hometown of Toronto with the IC title against Jericho and Batista and got booed. Matt and Jeff are smart enough, particularly Matt-who is very hands-on with all the incarnations of his character-to try stuff. I haven't seen a whole lot of it, I've seen a couple of things and I thought it was hilarious and awesome."
The first episode of E&C Pod of Awesomeness is now available, with guest Goldberg talking about how much things have changed since 2004.
