Eddy Thorpe Attacker Revealed On WWE NXT
Eddy Thorpe returns after missing WWE NXT Deadline and inserts himself into the NXT Title picture.
Eddy Thorpe missed the opportunity to appear and compete in the Iron Survivor Challenge at WWE NXT Deadline after he was attacked backstage on the December 3 episode of WWE NXT. As a result, Oba Femi took his place and earned the opportunity to challenge Trick Williams for the NXT Title at WWE NXT New Year’s Evil on January 7.
While Oba Femi was attempting to confront Trick Williams on December 10, Eddy Thorpe returned and accused Femi of taking him out. Femi didn’t outright deny the claim but did ask Thorpe if he actually saw who did it. Thorpe said no, but he did say that it was the most powerful attack he’d ever felt, leading him to believe that it was Oba. Oba and Trick continued their confrontation and then when Oba left the ring, Trick was confronted by Thorpe.
Thorpe said that trick would not have lasted in the Japanese dojos he came up in. Trick responded by saying that he was tired of the doubters and officially challenged Thorpe to a match for December 17. He ended the segment by punching Thorpe to the mat.

The match was later made official for the December 17 episode of NXT. Once Eddy Thorpe got his opportunity he revealed his master plan. After signing the contract to face Trick Williams for the NXT Championship on December 17, Thorpe revealed to WWE NXT GM Ava that he pulled a rose by saying that he was attacked.
Thorpe told Ava that she was looking at the person who attacked him and said that he got his NXT Championship Match without having to go through “25 minutes of hell” in the Iron Survivor Challenge. That is how the December 10 episode of WWE NXT came to a close.
