Here is your fight size update for WWE Friday Night SmackDown and AEW Rampage on Friday, August 11, 2023.

WWE SmackDown

– AJ Styles took on Karrion Kross. Scarlett interfered, and Michin tried to stop her. Scarlett initially took her out, but Michin rallied and dropped Scarlett. Styles then pinned Kross to score the decisive win in their rivalry.

– Charlotte Flair faced Asuka in the opening match. They went back and forth until Damage CTRL (IYO SKy, Bayley, and Dakota Kai) attacked both women and left them lying.

– Kevin Patrick kicked off his run as a member of the WWE SmackDown commentary team, and Corey Graves returned to the brand.

– Edge came out and said he wanted to face Sheamus next week. He highlighted their history together. He called out Sheamus, who played footage of Edge wiping out when they rode bikes together. Sheamus looked back to 2004 and recalled how Edge played a pivotal part in his career. Sheamus accepted Edge’s challenge.

– WWE United States Champion Austin Theory attacked Santos Escobar backstage and again during his entrance ahead of their match. Rey Mysterio replaced Escobar and defeated Theory to win the title.

– Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, and Solo Sikoa came to the ring. Jimmy Uso came out. Jimmy made it clear that he didn’t want anything from Reigns. Jey Uso came out and confronted Jimmy. Jimmy said he was afraid to lose Jey. He told Jey he didn’t want him to become egotistical like Reigns.Jimmy said it did it because he loves Jey. He said Jey could kick him if he wanted to. Jey didn’t and Jimmy walked away. Reigns told Jey no one cared. Roman told Jey to acknowledge him. Jey superkicked Reigns. Solo attacked him, and Reigns dropped Jey with a superman punch. Jey rallied and rook Reigns down with a Spear. Jey then kicked Jimmy and said he was out of WWE.

– LA Knight defeated Top Dolla and hyped up the crowd with a post-match promo.

– Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) celebrated their union and prepared to take over. 

– The O.C. (AJ Styles, Michin, Doc Gallows, and Karl Anderson) celebrated Styles’ win in a SmackDown Exclusive.

– Sheamus looked ahead to his match with Edge.

– Bobby Lashley tweeted that the sky is the limit for his alliance with the Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins).

– Beth Phoenix shared that Edge ran out because they were out of maple syrup.

– Triple H commented on Rey Mysterio’s title win.

AEW Rampage

– In a video message, Eddie Kingston discussed competing in the NJPW G1 Climax 33 and stated that he wanted to defend the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship in AEW.

– Orange Cassidy defeated Johnny TV to retain the AEW International Championship. After the bell, Wheeler Yuta challenged Orange Cassidy to defend the AEW International Championship against him.

– Darby Allin defeated Brian Cage. After the match, Luchasaurus attacked him.

– Britt Baker previewed her upcoming match against The Bunny and expressed her confidence that she will win the gold at AEW All In.

Saraya defeated Skye Blue to earn a spot in the AEW Women’s World Championship match at AEW All In.

– ROH World Tag Team Champions Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher) defeated The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) and agreed to face MJF and Adam Cole at AEW All In: Zero Hour.

– Jeff Jarrett announced that a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match would be held on the August 16 episode of AEW Dynamite; he will face Jeff Hardy.

– A video package highlighted the history of the ROH World Tag Team Championships.

Tony Khan announced Fyter Fest would be held the week of AEW All In.

– Saraya vowed to win the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW All In.
