Eddie Kingston Returns On 2/16 AEW Dynamite
The King is back!
Tensions between The Inner Circle began to show when Chris Jericho started taking verbal jabs at Eddie Kingston, the close friend of Santana and Ortiz. The duo told Jericho to mind his words and further showed their frustration by not tagging Le Champion in during a trios match.
Last week on Dynamite, The Inner Circle has a team meeting, which saw Sammy Guevara say he’d quit the group if the others couldn’t sort out their problems. Santana and Ortiz also told Jericho that they’re tired of fighting his battles instead of focusing on their goal of becoming Tag Team Champions. Jericho, on the other hand, believes that he is the influencer of AEW and that they’d be nothing without him.
Jericho and Jake Hager faced Santana and Ortiz on the February 16 episode of Dynamite. Before the bell could ring, however, Eddie Kingston made his return to television, coming out to support his friends. He had been out of action recently with an eye injury.
During the bout, Kingston didn’t get involved, but at one point got on the apron only to be kicked off by Jericho. Santana and Ortiz would capitalize off of a distracted Jericho and pick up the win. After the bell, Jericho immediately left the ring and attacked Kingston, and had to be separated by referees. The two men seem to be on a collision course, though no match has been announced.
And Santana and Ortiz have beaten @IAmJericho, but Jericho isn’t finished with @MadKing1981, as he assaults him on his way out of the ring!#AEWDynamite is LIVE on @TBSNetwork right now! pic.twitter.com/xtDOI289rT
