Eddie Kingston: I Quit AEW
Eddie Kingston says he quits.
Eddie Kingston says he quits.
On the March 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, Kingston competed in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match, where the winner would earn a shot at the TNT Championship the following week. Right when the match began, Kingston started brawling with his former friend and tag team partner Ortiz. They fought all the way up the ramp, and the broadcast team later announced that the two men had to be separated backstage.
In a Digital Exclusive after the match, Kingston was asked to describe what happened. He briefly responded by saying, “I quit AEW. Peace.” Kingston, who had his bags with him, then exited the building.

Kingston has been teasing his apparent frustration lately; in response to a tweet that promoted the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match, he posted a GIF of Steve from Family Guy saying, “I hate this place.” He has also been outspoken with his criticism of AEW and some of its top stars, including MJF; he called the world champion a “piece of shit”. Kingston also recently posted a heated tweet that took some shots at the AEW roster and the way MJF appeared on AEW Dynamite three times within an hour and a half.
Side note since we need to see his world champ 3 times within a hour and a half when it is a two hour show. Fuck ortiz fuck house of black and fuck the roster. Born aline die alone I tried. I don’t need anyone including mox and penta. Fuck everyone. Especially the “pillars “

In an interview with Sactown Sports 1140 ahead of the March 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, Kingston was asked about the following week’s show, when AEW will make its Sacramento debut. Kingston noted that he wasn’t sure whether he’d be there, and he referenced some issues with the locker room and the office as the reason why. He stated that he wasn’t particularly happy about being in the ladder match, so he wanted to talk to the office. Kingston also teasted that he had to be a businessman and put his foot down at some point.
“I may not be in Sacramento. It all depends how certain things in the locker room, and the office. Especially with this match that’s coming up Wednesday. I’m not real happy about it. So we have to have a talk. I’m not gonna say who’s the office. Everyone knows about Tony, but there’s others. We all gotta get together and talk. I wanna go everywhere, but I also gotta be a businessman and put my foot down at some point in a calm manner. That’s what I’m still trying to learn. In a calm, professional manner,” Kingston said.
“The Mad King” has been announced for the return episode of ROH TV, which will air on March 2 on HonorClub.
