Eddie Kingston Answers Cody’s Open Challenge On AEW Dynamite
Eddie Kingston has arrived in AEW.
As has become tradition, Cody put the AEW TNT Title on the line to open AEW Dynamite. Throughout the week, Tony Khan teased a top Indendepent talent would answer while Jon Moxley said hardcore fans would be very excited at Cody’s opponent.
Both men were correct as Eddie Kingston answered Cody’s challenge. Kingston cut a promo on Cody, discussing his life and promising to put Cody in the ground while smiling. Kingston then turned the open challenge into a No DQ match.

The match between Kingston and Cody has a bit of everything, including Cody taking a powerbomb onto thumbtacks. In the end, Cody was able to overcome, submitting Kingston with the figure four.
