EC3 says he spoke with AEW at one point.
EC3 has wrestled for WWE, TNA/IMPACT Wrestling, and ROH. He is a two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion, and he currently holds the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. However, he has never worked for AEW.
Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, EC3 noted that he previously talked with AEW, but he was signed with Ring of Honor at the time. He stated that the internet was trying to “cancel” him for things that weren’t true. EC3 also shared his belief that Tony Khan thought he was whatever the internet said he was.
“I talked with them a little bit before, but I was signed with Ring of Honor. By that time, the internet tried to cancel me for a bunch of bullshit that wasn’t true. I think Tony Khan legitimately thought I was whatever the internet said I was at the time, which is pretty unfortunate considering people listen to lies, and therefore their finances or personal lives are dependent on the opinions of a mob that doesn’t know what they’re talking about,” EC3 said.
During the interview, EC3 also commented on a potential match against Bryan Danielson. Click here to see what he had to say.
