Drew McIntyre vs. Jinder Mahal Announced For WWE SummerSlam 2021
A new match has been announced for WWE SummerSlam.
After a prolonged injury absence, Jinder Mahal returned to WWE TV this spring and entered into a feud with Drew McIntyre, complaining about the number of title opportunities his former 3MB member had been receiving. Mahal would also claim that he laid the blueprint for McIntyre to succeed and is off-put by the fact that the Scottish Warrior is heralded by the fans and company while he is treated as less-than.
At Money in the Bank 2021, Mahal, along with Shanky and Veer, cost Drew McIntyre his opportunity to capture the coveted briefcase, something they gloated about on Raw the following night. McIntyre has responded in the time since, destroying Mahal’s prized motorcycle, among other things.
With tensions continuing to escalate on a weekly basis, WWE has announced that the two men will square off at SummerSlam next Saturday, August 21st.
