Drew McIntyre: Sheamus Even Adopted A Dog To Interrupt One Of My Interviews

Drew McIntyre and Sheamus. Sort of friends forever.

You’ve seen the headlines.

“Sheamus: How Does Drew McIntyre Have So Much Media? He’s Not That Interesting”

“Drew McIntyre: Sheamus’ Mask Is A Massive Improvement Of His Face”

So what’s left? We asked Drew.

“I don’t know what to say to him. Old Sheamy’s a little jealous that nobody wants to talk to him. I’m so excited we need so many bodies for this event because there’s so much media and old Drew McIntyre can only do so much even though I’m working from morning ‘til night. Proudly, by the way. Who is that Sheamus is talking to?,” McIntyre said at a press junket. “See most of the people here are brought here for show. They don’t even have their cameras plugged in or their microphones plugged in. They’re just entertaining him.”

Even though Sheamus doesn’t do nearly as much media as Drew, McIntyre told Fightful he still wants another big fight against him.

“What a sad sack of… We should have another match though now that we have fans back. That’s one thing we need to do is have another match together, commit crimes on each other to be honest with no fans there. So we should have a match with fans. We’ll come back to that,” said Drew.

During a recent interview with the Battleground Podcast, Sheamus interrupted Drew McIntyre, while wearing a shirt encouraging fans to adopt dogs.

“Legit had to get another dog,” Drew said of Sheamus’ efforts to Bogart his camera time. “Which is great. I think it’s awesome. He’s adopted so many pets. That’s the one nice part about him. He’s great when it comes to looking after animals, rescuing animals. But he’s a terrible human being. He’s just so jealous. Old Sheamy’s just so jealous of old Drew, the champion who was champion six billion times. Old Drew gets fired over here, forgets about that part, I finally get some of the limelight, he kicks me in the head. So jealous he is.”

Sheamus isn’t the only charitable one. Drew McIntyre is an ambassador for the Speical Olympics — as is Sheamus. They were at an event where McIntyre was officially named a Champion Ambassador, something he spoke to us about meaning a lot to him personally.

“It caught me by surprise. We had a Special Olympics event last night and first time in person. I’ve been working with the Special Olympics for a couple of years now. Mostly through Zoom. We’ve done some incredible things together, created some workouts for the athletes they can do at home since everyone couldn’t meet together. We all got together, had a great time. Sheamus was there, of course. Titus, Charlotte, and Sarah Schreiber. We played some bocce ball or something it’s called. I got a silver medal. I would have won if Schreiber hadn’t cheated. But it was such a great event and the athletes surprised me at the end by naming me an official Champion Ambassador. Honestly, to be truthful, when we started their speech, I thought it was a Sheamus prank and they were getting ready to slime me or something so they could put it on the internet. But then as the speech went on and the tone changed, I was trying to control the waterworks and it was very special, very meaningful to me and I’m very excited for what the future holds,” McIntyre said.
