Drew Gulak Shares His Experience Working On WWE 2K22

Drew Gulak’s experience working on WWE 2K22 was very positive.

During a recent appearance on Casual Conversations with The Classic, the WWE Superstar discussed his time working on the upcoming WWE video game, saying that the people who made the game were incredibly detail-oriented and that they put a lot of love into it.

“I guess it’s the Drew-torial or Gu-torial. They were awesome. It was like my first time getting to construct a video game in some way. For me, that was really cool. I’m a huge gamer and grew up with the Nintendo all the way until now with the (Playstation) 5 and Switch. Remember Nick Arcade where you would just play video games? I’ve always wanted to do that kind of thing, I wish I was a kid on Nick Arcade. My experience working with the 2K team was awesome. The story about the last game, with the studio dropping out and scrambling and throwing stuff together for 2K20, was a bummer, especially for the hardcore gamers. They crushed it with 19. They took the year off and decide to go back and make the game from scratch and find these passionate people who, for the last two years, have been trying to make this as good as possible. My experience, working with them did some voiceover stuff and filming. It was amazing how detail-oriented they were. They were pulling up these lines that they jotted down with notes and some were from my very first promos that I had on 205 Live, stuff before the PowerPoint presentation stuff. ‘Oh my God, you looked up what was on the Network and wrote this stuff down?’ That was just my part. A lot of these other guys have big roles, Rey Mysterio is a perfect example. If they can put that much love into making sure my fit is right, imagine how good the rest of this is going to be. It’s really refreshing to work with people like that. My experience was very positive,” he said.

Elsewhere during the interview, Gulak shared his thoughts on 205 Live coming to an end and its rebranding as NXT Level Up. Click here to read his comments.

He last wrestled on the December 24 episode of WWE SmackDown, competing in the WWE Intercontinental Title #1 Contendership 12 Days Of Christmas Gauntlet Match.
