Dragon Lee has crossed paths with WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio on multiple occasions. They met in a SmackDown Exclusive on July 21, and Mysterio cornered Lee for his title match on the August 8 episode of WWE NXT.
Mysterio was betrayed by his LWO stablemate Santos Escobar on the November 10 episode of WWE SmackDown. This marked the latest time someone close to Rey has turned on him. In the past, Batista and Rey’s own son Dominik have betrayed him in a heartbreaking manner.
On November 12, Dragon Lee took to Twitter/X to make it clear that he was not like Batista, Dominik, and Escobar, as Rey could count on him. Lee drove the point home by sharing before/after pictures of Rey’s relationships with his former allies.
