Dragon Gate Provides Update On Weekend Shows As Typhoon Hagibis Approaches Japan
With a massive typhoon soon about to hit Japan, Dragon Gate has posted an update on its upcoming weekend shows.
Dragon Gate is currently scheduled to have shows on October 12 in Kyoto and October 13 in Hiroshima but there had been questions as to whether or not they would move forward as scheduled with Typhoon Hagibis approaching the country.
On social media, Dragon Gate has posted an update on the card, saying that for now, the shows will be moving forward as previously scheduled. The promotion did recognize, however, that things can change as we get closer to the show and left a window of opportunity for the show to be either postponed or outright canceled if the typhoon makes the show impossible to do.
As it currently stands, both shows for this weekend will go on as planned. There is a chance of postponement or cancelled due to Typhoon Hagibis. This would affect tomorrow’s scheduled network live stream.
We will post more information as it is available. #dragongate https://t.co/wO0UjID82d— Dragon Gate English (@DragonGateEN) October 11, 2019
Hagibis is described to be one of the strongest typhoons to hit Japan in decades and officials in the country have already canceled hundreds of domestic flights. Rail operators also warned of potential major disruptions due to the storm, according to Japan Times. The severity of the storm is comparable to that of a category 4 hurricane.
