Don Callis Talks Impact-Canada, Hells Henchmen, Commentary, More
NJPW and Impact Wrestling's Don Callis recently participated in a Reddit AMA Q&A. You can see the full post at this link, and check out highlights below.
How do you view the current state of the Canadian market (viewership, social engagement, etc) and do see any major opportunities to gain more exposure here in the short term?
For sure. Canada is one of the best wrestling markets historically in the world. As Impact continues to ramp up we will see further engagement.
The best wrestler to come from the UK:
Billy Robinson.
What was the original plan for you and Hells Henchmen before Bradshaw did what he did?:
Don't know what he did. But those guys never needed a manager as both could talk.
Any chance Jim Cornette comes back?
I love Jim. but authority figures are overdone. I was the second to do it in ECW and then did it in TNA and I thought it was overdone then and that was 2003!!
Any good stories from working in Grand Prix Wrestling?
Other than pulling 40 minutes every night with Martel vs Edge and Christian? Yea, good times with great friends, Mike Lozinski, Bad News, D'amore, etc.
What is the greatest thing that you have ever said on commentary?
GODDAMN DROPKICK!
