Don Callis Sees Potential “Babyface” In Sami Callihan

Don Callis thinks Sami Callihan will end up being a good guy.

At Slammiversary XVI, Sami Callihan lost to Pentagon Jr in a mask vs hair match and was shaved before the pay-per-view went off the air. Earlier this year, Callihan positioned himself as one of the top villains of the promotion when he struck Eddie Edwards with a baseball bat and was unapologetic

On his own podcast Killing the Town, Impact Wrestling executive vice president Don Callis revealed that he thinks Callihan could change the fans mind about him.

“He’s so good at being Sami Callihan and being the type of heel that he is that he’s probably gonna end up being a huge babyface at some point, because he’s like that undersized guy who never backs down and just fights,” said Callis.

In the rest of the podcast, Callis also mentioned that he was wrong about OVE when he first saw them wrestling and he considers OVE and Callihan some of the best talent on the show.

Fightful Wrestling has live coverage each week for Impact Wrestling. For Slammiversary, Fightful Wrestling had the live coverage and a recapping podcast
