In a tweet, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide shared a clip of Don Callis speaking with Tony Schiavone. Callis had just stepped out of El Hijo del Vikingo’s locker room, and he noted that he had a meeting with the AAA star ahead of his match with Kenny Omega at AAA TripleMania XXXI: Tijuana. Callis stated that he gave Vikingo the “secret sauce” he needed to defeat Omega, and he would be at TripleMania XXXI with the reigning AAA Mega Champion.

The bout between Vikingo and Omega will be a rematch from the March 22, 2023, episode of AEW Dynamite, where Omega beat Vikingo in a non-title match. Callis and Omega have been feuding for a number of weeks, as “The Invisible Hand” has been on a mission to take The Elite (Omega, the Young Bucks, and Hangman Page) out of AEW. He has teased adding members to his “family” in order to even the playing field against the stable.
Callis helped Will Ospreay beat Omega at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, and he has been aligned with Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli) throughout their feud with The Elite.
