Here is your post-Monday Night Raw fight size update for September 4, 2023.

– Jey Uso bumped into Dominik Mysterio. Dominik said they both came from messed up families, and they had a lot in common. Dominik told Jey he knew what he was going through, and he said Jey had a broken family. He offered to talk to The Judgment Day, as there were open arms for him. 

– Sami Zayn faced JD McDonagh. Dominik Mysterio interfered, and Zayn attacked him. Another distraction from Mysterio helped McDonagh score the win. Zayn took the fight to Dominik after the bell, and McDonagh stopped him. Zayn fought McDonagh off, and Mysterio left. 

– Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle faced the Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar) in a Tornado Tag Match. Kofi Kingston interfered but accidentally hit Riddle with the Trouble in Paradise. The Viking Raiders threw Kingston into McIntyre and proceeded to pin Riddle with a powerbomb through a table. 

– Drew McIntyre angrily looked for Kofi Kingston backstage. Matt Riddle tried to calm him down. McIntyre stated that he would be watching both Kingston and Jey Uso closely. Kingston showed up and apologized. McIntyre argued with him.

– Jey Uso came to the ring and discussed his return. Sami Zayn interrupted and said he was happy to see Jey on Raw.  He told Jey he was proud of him and offered him a handshake. Jey didn’t take it, but the admitted that wasn’t very “Ucey” of him. They then hugged.

– Shinsuke Nakamura discussed his loss to Seth Rollins and vowed to prevail.

– WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins brushed off concerns about his injury. He came to the ring and commented on his win over Shinsuke Nakamura at WWE Payback. Rollins recalled how Nakamura attacked him after the match. He called Nakamura out. Nakamura came to the stage, and Rollins told him he would give him another shot at the title. Nakamura turned him down. Rollins and Nakamura brawled, and security officials separated them. Ricochet joined the brawl and took the fight to Rollins. 

– Shinsuke Nakamura faced Ricochet, and they battled it out in a hard-fought match. Nakamura hit Ricochet with a chair to force the disqualification. Seth Rollins ran out to save Ricochet. Nakamura gained the upper hand and attacked Rollins, and Ricochet fought him off. Damian Priest watched on backstage. 

–  A video package highlighted WWE Payback.

– The Judgment Day (Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and Damian Priest) came out and discussed their successful night at WWE Payback. Ripley said they truly are a family. She said the group is now the most dominant faction in WWE. JD McDonagh interrupted and told Priest his Money on the Bank briefcase had to go. He revealed that he had a custom briefcase for Priest. Zayn interrupted and made it clear that he wanted revenge. He challenged Mysterio to face him, but McDonagh accepted instead.

Michael Cole referenced Cody Rhodes’ former EVP status.

-Shayna Baszler faced Zoey Stark and picked up a hard-fought win. She showed Stark some respect after the bell.

Adam Pearce noted that Piper Niven was not cleared to compete

– Chelsea Green took on Raquel Rodriguez in a singles match. Rodriguez scored a dominant victory. After the bell, she made it clear that she will get a rematch with Rhea Ripley on the September 11 episode of WWE Raw.

-The Miz hosted a new edition of MizTV, and he revealed John Cena as his guest. Nobody came out, but Miz talked as if Cena was actually there. He said he could see Cena, even if nobody else could. He claimed that Cena conspired with LA Knight at WWE Payback, so his loss should be overturned. The Miz shoved the invisible Cena, who pushed back. The Miz hit “Cena” with a Skull-Crushing Finale. He then challenged Knight to a rematch. 

Adam Pearce announced that SmackDown would get trade compensation in exchange for Jey Uso.

Gunther successfully defended the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Chad Gable and ensured that he will break The Honky Tonk Man’s record.

– In a Digital Exclusive, Damian Priest and Finn Balor moved the Money in the Bank contract into the new briefcase.

– On Raw Talk, JD McDonagh stated that he wanted to bring The Judgment Day together.

Shinsuke Nakamura revealed why he didn’t accept Seth Rollins’ challenge to a rematch.

Chad Gable commented on his loss and vowed to dethrone Gunther.

Gunther shared his thoughts following his victory.

– Chelsea Green responded to a fan who noted that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships were cursed.

– Dijak called The Miz the GOAT.
