Dominic DeNucci’s Family Gives Update On His Health
The family of Dominic DeNucci has issued a statement giving an update on his health.
It was previously reported that DeNucci was hospitalized recently and revealed that he had gone through a cardiac catheterization. His family issued a statement, which was read by Bill Apter in the video at the top of the page.
Below is the statement:
Dominic was admitted to the hospital on Friday after experiencing some very minor health issues, including fatigue. After tests concluded DeNucci had slight stenosis of the aorta, the doctors decided to perform a routine heart catheterization to insert a stent into the narrowed artery. That procedure was successfully performed earlier [on Monday] and Dominic is resting comfortably. His daughter and son-in-law, Danielle & George Cassel, are with him and report that he is in great spirits and feeling much better. They asked that their heartfelt thanks be extended to all of Dominic’s friends and fans around the world.
DeNucci wrestled for a number of territories through the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, capturing a number of titles. DeNucci is a two-time WWWF World Tag Team Champion and has captured the AWA United States Heavyweight and Stampede Wrestling International Tag Team titles among other titles. He shared the ring with the likes of Hulk Hogan, Bruno Sammartino, Ray Stevens, Killer Kowalski, Larry Hennig and Harley Race.
