Dolph Ziggler Wants To Lead A Misfit Crew Against Handpicked WWE Stars

Dolph Ziggler is all about the story.

Having been in WWE since 2005, Dolph Ziggler has accomplished just about everything in the company. He’s a Triple Crown winner, having won the World Title, Intercontinental Title and Tag Team Titles. And while some are hoping Ziggler has one more title run left in him, Dolph would rather be part of an interesting story than win another title.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Ziggler pitched an angle that would interest him more than winning a title.

“I was wondering if I could help guys like the Major Brothers or Mike Bennett or a couple of guys just sitting around, chomping at the bit, in the best shape of their lives,” said Ziggler. “Kind of like a misfits crew of guys who have all the pieces and are ready to go but don’t have management behind them. Maybe someone like me can be a mouthpiece and lead them. And make some kind of stand like the guys behind the scenes against the handpicked guys to be the stars. I always wonder if something like that to work. I’d rather do stuff like that than winning a title without some investment.”

Ziggler reportedly turned down a producer job with WWE and some thought he could be leaving the company. However, Ziggler was a surprise entrant into the Royal Rumble and could be continuing his feud with Drew McIntyre.
