Dolph Ziggler Says He Has To Make A Decision About His Future With WWE
Dolph Ziggler says he does not have a lot of time to find something to reach for in WWE.
Since 2006, Dolph Ziggler has been a part of WWE's main roster. The two-time world champion has recently been in a pattern of losing to other wrestlers on their way up the card. On E&C's Pod of Awesomeness, Ziggler discussed a time when he almost left WWE because he believed he needed time away so the fans would "forget" he loses so frequently.
"About two and a half years ago, I was debating, going 'I don't know what else I have left here. I can keep helping people out, but I feel like my cries are falling on deaf ears,'" said Ziggler. "I can have a change or go away for a couple months and it wasn't happening. So I go 'ok, when this one is up, I am out of here for now,'" he added.
According Ziggler, WWE has treated him well but at one point he told them he wanted to leave for a couple months.
"I said 'listen, thanks for everything but I got to get the hell out of here. If you guys aren't going to give me a couple months off, just to have them forget I lose ninety-nine times out of hundred'…They would say 'no' and I'd say 'ok, I'm going to have to do it myself then,'" said Ziggler.
The time he to told WWE he wanted to take a break, they asked him to stay around to help and Ziggler reluctantly stayed. Ziggler then said he has to make the same decision again soon
"I have a very short amount of time left to figure out if I want to do that again or is there something I can reach for. All I can reach for is having fun-ass matches and tearing it down on the weekends," said Ziggler."It's weird that I can't get more. But trust me I'm knocking on the door every other day and almost demanding it," he continued.
Outside of wrestling in WWE, he said could work with Fox News using his political science background on television. Also during the interview, Ziggler talked about his love for comedy and his exploration into stand-up.
