Dolph Ziggler And Robert Roode Retain SmackDown Tag Team Titles On WrestleMania SmackDown
The Dirty Dawgs reign atop the SmackDown Tag Team division.
On the April 9 WrestleMania edition of WWE SmackDown, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode put their Tag Team Titles on the line in a fatal four-way match against The Street Profits, Otis & Chad Gable, and Rey & Dominik Mysterio. The Dirty Dawgs have been working with these opponents – in one form or another – on an almost weekly basis since joining the brand in October 2020.
Tonight, they were victorious, scoring the win after Roode pinned Chad Gable. Montez Ford seemed poised to recapture the Titles after he hit a frog splash on the former Olympian but stood up too close to the ropes, allowing Roode to tag himself into the match. Ziggler then delivered a superkick to the Street Profit, clearing the ring for his partner to earn the three-count.

Roode and Ziggler started teaming on the August 26, 2019 episode of Raw, winning a tag team turmoil match to become the number one contenders for the belts. The duo won the Raw Tag Team Titles from Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins at Clash of Champions. The self-dubbed Dirty Dawgs have been SmackDown Tag Team Champions since January 8, 2021, when they defeated The Street Profits to win the gold.
