Disco Inferno Wasn’t Trying To Bury Cody Rhodes

Disco Inferno says Cody Rhodes misinterpreted his criticism.

Back in April, WCW wrestler Disco Inferno got into a twitter exchange with Cody Rhodes after he commented on picture of Rhodes' eye which was cut during a tag team match against Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi. Disco Inferno said the cut was an example of what he does not like about modern professional wrestling. Rhodes criticized Disco Inferno for his skills and Omega said he was no longer going to try to find room on his schedule for Disco Inferno's wrestling event.

In a recent interview with Hannibal TV, Disco Inferno said he did not intend to demean Rhodes.

"So Cody had got busted open. I saw it and I retweeted something like 'nobody knows how to work anymore. All they want to do is give Meltzer five stars. It's ridiculous,' Cody thought I was burying him. I'm not burying him. He's the guy that got busted open. I'm burying the guy who did this to you," said Disco Inferno.

The wrestling style of today was a topic Disco Inferno would elaborate on because he feels the wrestlers are hitting each other too hard and doing risky maneuvers which according to Disco Inferno put them at a higher risk of concussions.

The full clip from the interview can be found the Hannibal TV YouTube channel or the video above.
