Diamond Dallas Page Worked All In For Free; Comments On Wrestlers Going Over Time

Diamond Dallas Page received one of the biggest pops of the night at All In when he hit the diamond cutter on Shawn Daivari.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet of WSVN TV, Page noted that he rarely does the diamond cutter anymore, but made an exception for Cody and All In.

“When I first heard Cody was doing ALL IN, I told him you know I don’t do Diamond Cutters anymore. I mean, if WWE calls me I’ll f*cking do a Diamond Cutter, but not for an independent wrestling company. I’ve been offered $10,000. I’m not hitting that mat anymore. But for Cody, I told him if you need me for anything, I said I’m there and I wouldn’t charge him nothing. I’m sure plenty of people got paid a lot of money to be there, I took nothing and I won’t take nothing from him.”

Page also took fans behind the scenes, revealing that Cody sent out a memo to the wrestlers prior to the show about hitting time cues. Fans know by now that the main event between The Young Buck & Kota Ibushi against Rey Mysterio, Bandido, and Fenix was cut short and the show went off air with three minutes to spare.

“Cody told everybody: Be on time, hit your mark, don’t go over. And those guys had a hell of a match but they could have done half that and still had a hell of a match. Bottom line is Cody put on a memo: you’re not stealing the show, you’re stealing from others.”

Page didn’t name names in the interview, opting not to throw anyone under the bust. Reports indicated that Marty Scurll and Kazuchika Okada went at least ten minutes over time. Scurll has denied that his bout went over time, even going as far as saying they were told by Nick Jackson to go as long as needed.
