Dexter Lumis Appears To Be Apprehended By Security At The End Of 8/8 WWE Raw
Dexter Lumis returns to WWE TV, but not in the way anyone could have ever expected.
WWE, under the creative control of Triple H, continues to provide surprises every night. On the August 8 Monday Night Raw, there were even more apparent changes.
Throughout the night, there was a chaotic scene backstage in the parking lot and at the end of the night, following an AJ Styles/Miz No DQ Match, Dexter Lumis appeared to be coming through the crowd and was shown being apprehended by security and hauled off as the show faded to black. It is not known whether or not Dexter’s appearance was directly correlated with the chaos going on backstage.
Fightful Select first reported Dexter Lumis’ impending return to television. Dexter was released shortly after WrestleMania 38:
WWE is staying aggressive, and has a list of talent they hope to reach out to.
Fightful Select has learned that Dexter Lumis is among the talent that has been internally discussed to be brought back to the company. Fightful has even heard that higher ups were planning to reach out to Lumis himself last week.
Lumis was released in April, and has sparingly worked dates since then. He competed in the NWA World Heavyweight Title match at June’s “Alwayz Ready” show, and also worked a television taping match following that.
For those of you asking about Johnny Gargano, Fightful has heard at the very least that Shawn Michaels was tasked with reaching out to Gargano shortly after the turnover in management. We haven’t heard of any details or how the conversation went, but that Shawn Michaels was to be in contact with the former NXT Champion.
Gargano and Lumis were a party of the popular stable “The Way,” along with Austin Theory, Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae.
Karrion Kross also returned on the August 5 episode of SmackDown and he appeared to react to Dexter’s appearance via Twitter.

Prior to appearing tonight, Dexter Lumis appeared at star cast V and was asked by Johnny Gargano if he was doing any Indi(e)s, because he really has a fondness for them.
