Details On Will Washington Joining All Elite Wrestling
Grapsody and Fightful’s Will Washington has signed with All Elite Wrestling and will be joining the company.
Washington has finished up podcasting duties with Fightful, and has started traveling with the AEW brand, and is in town for the May 3 show. Washington will be serving as Director of Wrestling Administration for the company. Some talent were told of the move at the April 26 AEW Dynamite, after a deal was agreed to in the week prior.
Among the duties Washington will be helping with are overseeing continuity and aiding in long-term creative, working directly with Tony Khan. He’ll also be contributing to live events, social media and PR. Washington’s deal was official on Thursday, April 27, just ahead of his last D.A.D broadcast. Washington is one of the first wrestling podcasters in the space, and has done over one thousand broadcasts over 18 consecutive years of podcasting.
As a result of Washington’s new role with All Elite Wrestling, his time at Fightful will be coming to an end, both as a podcaster and contributor on exclusive news. We should note that as he is contractually prohibited from contributing news, as that would be a conflict of interest.
For those asking, Washington’s role was not Leva Bates’ previous duties.
We’d like to thank Will Washington for his over 100+ podcasts, and incredible contributions to Fightful, which have been unmatched. We’re very proud of him for taking this step. He will always remain a member of the Fightful family. Grapsody will continue with Righteous Reg and Phil Lindsay at Noon ET on Saturdays here on Fightful.
