Deonna Purrazzo Never Got A Triple H Photo Upon Joining NXT, Explains Why She Wouldn’t Want One Now
Deonna Purrazzo never got her Triple H picture. She doesn’t want it now, though.
Deonna Purrazzo always wanted to be a professional wrestler and when she was signed to WWE NXT, she was ready to learn at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, which is, of course, spearheaded by Triple H.
Most NXT signees take a picture with the boss as the pictures of Triple H standing beside a new signee and pointing at them would become a trope of the old NXT.
Deonna Purrazzo never got this picture. This led her to Photoshop herself onto an entire class of NXT recruits that did in a story that she shares on the Barstool Rasslin’ podcast.
“I never got a picture with Triple H when I was in NXT — our class picture. I was very upset about it. I’m [in] the only class probably in the history of the Performance Center to not get a class picture,” she stated. “So, I photoshopped my head on every single person in the picture besides Triple H, and then on his birthday, I tweeted at him and said, ‘Happy Birthday, boss. Thanks for the warm welcome to NXT!’
“That’s probably why I was fired,” she joked. “So the next class after me, which was Chelsea [Green]’s class is taking their picture with Triple H and I go up to Kristen Altman, who works in Stamford and I said, ‘Hey, my class didn’t get to take a picture with him. What’s up with that?’ She’s like, ‘Yeah, we really dropped the ball. Kinda is what it is. You’re gonna have to win a championship if you want a picture with him now,’ and I said, ‘Well, I’m fucked.’ So that’s the best Photoshop I’ve ever done.”
Asked if she would ever go back to WWE, win a championship, and then finally take a photo with the 14-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, she says that she wouldn’t want that now, because everybody else has gotten a photo with Triple H and it’s become too much of a trope.
“No [she wouldn’t take the photo,] because now everyone’s done it, and I like that, I haven’t… I’m like the rebel, like, I don’t need a picture with Triple H.”
Elsewhere in the world of wrestling, Deonna Purrazzo has been making history. She recently became one of the first women to headline a pay-per-view for the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Championship. She is also currently the Ring of Honor Women’s Champion. Learn why that accolade means so much to her at this link.
