Deonna Purrazzo Defeats Jazz In Title Vs. Career Match At IMPACT Hardcore Justice

At IMPACT Hardcore Justice, Deonna Purrazzo successfully defended her Knockouts Championship in a Title vs. Career Match against Jazz.

On March 30, Jazz attacked Deonna Purrazzo during an interview segment. She then went to Tommy Dreamer and asked for a match with the Champion. Dreamer, the Executive in Charge of Wrestling for the event, brought up the Ultimate Jeopardy stipulation where both competitors put something on the line.

The two women had a back and forth match with Jazz almost earning the victory after hitting Purrazzo with a DDT onto a steel chair. The Champion would ultimately retain the title after connecting on her Queen’s Gambit maneuver. Before hitting the move, she could be heard saying, “I’m going to finish you.”

After the bell, Jordynne Grace came to the ring and embraced Jazz. She walked her up the ramp and raised her arm. Matt Striker and D’Lo Brown also shared some thoughts and reiterated the prevailing sentiment; Thank you, Jazz.

Jazz is an industry legend, beginning her career in the late 90s. She gained international exposure after signing with WWE in 2001. There she won the Women’s Championship twice during her tenure. Jazz has worked all over the world, most recently having a three-year run with the NWA, even holding their World Women’s Title for 948 days. She joined IMPACT Wrestling in November 2020, teaming with Jordynne Grace in the Knockouts Tag Team Title Tournament.

Jazz also wrestled at TMWN Ladies Night Out 10: Midnight In Tampa, defeating Kiera Hogan.
